A couple weeks ago, I made a request for resources for significant
historical photos. Thanks for all the help! This list is such an awesome
resource!

Out of about 20 replies, 14 suggested the Library of Congress American
Memory website at http://memory.loc.gov

Other suggestions were:

Exhibit Hall at NARA.gov

New York Public Library Picture Collection

National Geographic Archives

Google Images or an advanced Google search for a specific event with a
limiter of .gov, .edu, or .org

National Park Service at http://www.nps.gov and http://www.cr.nps.gov

Life Picture Collection at http://www.life.com

Tha American Museum of Photography
http://www.photographymuseum.org

Newseum
http://www.newseum.org/pulitzer

and a pay service at Gotoep.com
