NetHappenings Mailing List is hosted by the Educational CyberPlayGround. Founded in 1989 Nethappenings is the granddaddy of all education mailing lists. The list distributes announcements about the Internet and provides the latest resources, especially those that are education-related.

In 1993 Gleason Sackmann former biology teacher of twenty years, and internet pioneer , was at the helm. Gleason announced his retirement in 2004 and at his request I accepted the responsibility of keeping this piece of internet history going. My name is Karen Ellis, and it is my honor to serve as tradition bearer and moderator at his request.


For the past 18 years NetHappenings email had been delivered to your mail box but that changed when I found posting the information to the Educational CyberPlayGround blog was a better use of my time and effort.

I still like to send email the old fashioned way when starting the list up in the fall,
but as we start off the 19th year I've got an unusual request. . . ..

I need volunteers who will  help post to NetHappenings.
