Subject: [WWWEDU] PROF DEV: This Week At TAPPED IN March 23, 2003
 
After School Online (ASO) is a forum for educators.  The scheduled
events, designed for professional development, are open to everyone in
the TAPPED IN community and all guests.  

You can get a sneak preview of the new system (dubbed TI2) in some of
the ASO sessions this month including the TI2 Fabulous Friday tours.
This week's featured events for ESL/EFL teachers and learners include
the Saturday and Sunday WebHeads and a Sunday EuroLang discussion with
guest Santi Scimeca discussing the EUN Portal. Monday is the popular
Technology in the Classroom with Donna Hendry. K-3 Resources and Middle
Grades (4-8) Science is scheduled for Tuesday. Ron Maxwell, screenwriter
and director of the films, "Gods and Generals" and "Gettysburg" will be
the special guest in the Social Studies Forum on Wednesday. Thursday
brings 7-12 Science and Using the Web to post student work, The Global
Project Based Learning  discussion, Bernie Dodge with WebQuests and the
Holocaust, and School Counselors with a discussion on Bullying. Events
marked (TI2) will be held in the TI2 system.
