I think someone on this list was asking about using handhelds in school. Here's 

an article I just found that you may want to look into.  If it was a different

Schools in the Detroit area are finding ways to integrate handheld technology
into the classroom, focusing on applications that benefit from the easy 
transfer
of data that handhelds make possible. Is this a model that would work in your
school?
