A New Teacher Guide Book
http://hannahmeans.bizland.com/
Another good source, an old fashioned book, is by Harry Wong titled "The
First Days of School - How To Be An Effective Teacher"
http://www.harrywong.com/
Two tips I was given years ago (before the days of technology) were
1) Don't threaten - make promises. This means that you need to back up what
you say, without exception. Don't make threats like "the next time this
happens" without backing it up, and don't make threats like "you will be
suspended for the rest of the year" or "you will .... a million time" that
you can't follow through on. Make promises that you will keep.
2) Treat everyone and every situation fairly.
Teaching with Love and Logic is another "non-techie" thing to look into.

Hope these help.
