ago, but apparently I didn't.  I apologize for any duplicate listings.

I also have not had time to check out the sites, so apologize if
any are not correct.  Thank you again for all your wonderful suggestions!

http://www.turtletrack.org/ - it's got activities, stories, pictures by and
 about Native
American children and adults. If you get deep it gets political, but that's
not a bad thing if you're aware of it. The kids' pages are phenomenal!
Turn up the PC volume for the music.

the Oyate website which is a Native organization that makes sure Native
peoples are portrayed accurately and honestly.  It will tell you which books
due portray Native Americans honestly and which do not. I have found it
very helpful. http://www.oyate.org/

Go to www.lii.org and search under Native American Indians .

Usually you can find individual author websites by typing in the name of
the author: James Welch, Adrian Louis, Louis Owens (I think that is correct
), Michael Dorris, Louise Erdrich, Paula Gunn Allen, Joy Harjo.

Sherman Alexie- (Prolific author-content is probably most appropriate for
high schoolers. ) www.fallsapart.com/

Jim Boyd - (Singer/songwriter, writes about many of the political issues
facing Indians today.) www.thunderwolfrecords.com/
