Thousands of government computers may be under the control of
cybercriminals. Software bots--malicious code that turns PCs and servers
into remotely controlled "zombies"--have dug into the computers of
federal and state agencies, security experts say. Once infected, those
computers can be used to distribute spam, launch denial-of-service
attacks, and even direct sensitive information into the wrong hands.

Hacker cracks Google Blogger security

Google was left red-faced on Saturday when a bug in its Blogger software
allowed an unauthorised user to post a comment on the official Google
blog.
The post, which stayed up for around an hour before being pulled,
claimed that Google had abandoned its click-to-call and Adwords
partnership with eBay because of "monopolistic" concerns.
A post on the Google blog on Sunday confirmed that a bug in Blogger had
enabled an unauthorised user to make a fake post on the Google Blog.

Continental Airlines moves into bomb shelter

Continental Airlines Inc. last week ran its first full-blown test of a
new disaster recovery facility that it opened earlier this year in an
former bomb shelter built by an eccentric Chinese oil baron.
The Houston-based airline decided to improve its business continuity and
disaster recovery facilities last October after hurricanes Katrina and
Rita, said John Stelly, managing director of technology. At that time,
the company's off-site facility was located just 20 miles north of
Houston and ran on the same power and telecommunications grid as the
city, he said.

If we can have a legal YouTube, we can have a legal P2P service.
Doug Morris, SonyBMG, EMI have made deals with youtube.
It is time for Edgar Bronfman, Jr. to authorize a P2P service.
He should take an ownership position.  And allow trading of Warner product.
Watch the rest of the sisters fall into place.
P2P had essentially NO IMPACT on CD sales.
