CALL FOR PAPERS

Association for the Study of African-American Life and History (ASALH) 
Amherst Branch

Regional Interdisciplinary Conference
April 2, 2005
University of Massachusetts, Amherst

Subjects include but are not limited to slavery and the slave trade, free 
Blacks and abolitionism, Slave Narratives and Afro-American autobiography, 
general literary criticism, Black Arts Movement, Harlem Renaissance, Civil 
Rights Movement, Afro-American intellectual history, and 
pedagogy.  Disciplines may include, but are not limited to, history, 
literature, political science, education, religion, music, art, economics, 
health care, and current issues.

500 word abstracts of 20 minute presentations must be received by January 
28, 2005
Presenters are encouraged to organize their own panels but independent 
submissions are welcome.  Remember to include person and/or institutional 
contact information.
