"PeopleSoft Rejects Latest Oracle Bid as Inadequate"
PeopleSoft officials said no to Oracle's offer to buy the
company for about $9.2-billion, saying the software company is
worth more than that. Oracle's chief said that the company would
not raise its bid and that it was now up to PeopleSoft's
shareholders to decide if the deal should go through.

"Oakland U. Works to Rebound From Major Computer Attack"
Technology officials at the institution, in Rochester, Mich.,
are still struggling to restore computer operations after a
hacker gained control of more than a dozen servers and numerous
desktops on the university's network over the weekend. The
intruder deleted critical system files and left the machines
mostly unusable.
