Database selection and use is not likely to be a fifteen minute topic of
discussion if one wants to make good decisions. Secondly, there are a
substantial number of databases that are free that have a wealth of
information in medicine and other fields that may meet your needs and save
your budget that you should explore thoroughly before investing in
expensive databases that may not be as complete in their coverage. If you
are going to use databases and want quality results you will need to know
how to build search strategies and use Boolean algebra correctly to design
them so they work.
