[nerdleague] Re: Sunday

I'm up for SotC at your place any time, because you're within walking distance. 
(Not that I walk.) I'd like to concentrate on that game right now not because I 
have a problem with anything anybody else is running, but simply because I 
haven't gamed for a long time until this one and it's a nice simple system that 
allows me to ease back into it. The only nights this week that I can't do it 
are Tuesday and Wednesday because I have auditions.

 

I wouldn't worry about nerdleague exploding. We've all been friends for too 
long to do that. People will claw at each other a bit, like any group who have 
known each other for years/decades/lives, but at the end of the day we're still 
gonna be friends. If these guys can stay friends with me, as reclusive and 
eccentric as I am, they're not gonna turn on each other over a couple of 
misinterpreted comments and scheduling conflicts. These guys have seen me 
dressed up as Slash, complete with wig, shades, tophat, and tight leather rock 
star pants, and have not made fun of me to my face. We've crashed at each 
other's houses and supported each other's endeavours, given each other painful 
reality checks when called for, and cried on each other's shoulders. And we're 
still a crew. If that ain't a friend for ya, well.....

There seems to be confusion as to what exactly we're playing tonight.  Jim 
really wants to run Ravenloft.  Brian, I thought the Star Wars game we were 
talking about was for now-passed Saturday?!?  We can still create a character 
to have one on standby, though.
 
I'm not trying to stir up yet more Drama in the Nerdleague.  My house is 
available, but if you guys want to play elsewhere that's fine too.  I'd prefer 
my house because I also have Audrey with me, but it's NOT absolutely important. 
 I can make anything work.
 
As far as I know right now, we're all getting together at my house at 6-7 for 
Ravenloft. 
 
Does anyone disagree with that?  Did anyone else have anything else planned?
 
BTW... I just gotta say... And I'm NOT taking sides... Andy just asked if 
another night would work for the group so that he can spend more time with his 
girlfriend.  I haven't seen any threads where he's "making it all about him".  
He still showed up last Sunday, and he's still willing to play.  I don't know 
what the explosion within the Nerdleague is all about, but then again I'm new 
to this group and a bit disconnected with it so I don't know all the details.
 
I never intended to disrupt anything.  We can drop SotC or Shadowrun or 
anything else I'm GMing if it's really a problem.  This is NOT a threat... it 
just seems like my game in particular is getting the whole group in a tizzy.
 
It's been VERY difficult for ALL OF US, trying to get up to nine people at a 
time to the same place at the same time for about four hours of gaming.  Let's 
all be patient, people.  Let's all remember we all have schedules we have to 
work around.  Even me!  I've got to wake up at 0430 Monday morning, yet I'm 
still running the game every other Sunday night.  <-- Not a bitch, just a 
reminder.
