[neact] Update on John Swistak

Dated Tuesday - April 25th (I'm always behind on checking my e-mail)  ..JAK)

 

Hi Judith,

   I found your message, and so I'm glad the one I sent went through. ...

Now I added you to my address book; so life should be easy. 

   John was discharged yesterday. Yes, you can be dumbfounded--I was. They 

sent him home, not to rehab, even though the doctors had spoken to him about


going to rehab sometime this week. I'm not sure what made them decide he 

could go home when the nurses wouldn't let him walk by himself without one
of 

them in attendance on Sunday.

   Still, we managed. I can do a good diet as well as anyone, he can get 

around, and we're sticking to bedroom and bath on the first floor. Visiting 

nurses and hopefully physical therapists will check in for the time being. 

The nurse who came today was here for an hour and was wonderful.

   That's the latest news. It was nice today not to have to drive ANYWHERE!
