This year’s NEACT Summer Conference will be held at Fitchburg State
University in Fitchburg, Massachusetts on Friday, July 14, 2017.
We are thrilled that the keynote speaker will be chemical engineer,
scientist, entrepreneur, inventor and the David H. Koch Institute Professor
at MIT, Dr. Robert Langer. Langer heads the largest biotechnology
engineering lab in the world and holds more than 1100 granted or pending
patents.
Further details will be forthcoming as we put the conference program
together. A second day will be added if needed.
We urge you to present a lecture or a workshop at the conference. The
theme “Materials Chemistry” is by design quite broad. As you know, the
majority of the audience will be high school chemistry teachers who
appreciate curriculum-related material that can be taken back to their
classrooms.
NEACT welcomes lectures (0.75 - 1 hour), workshops (1 - 2.5 hours), or
other forms of scientific presentation. Any topic related to materials
chemistry will be considered. Presenters will earn PDP credits and a modest
honorarium.
