[neact] Immediate Opening for Summer Chemistry Teacher, Saratoga Springs, NY

The Johns Hopkins University's Center for Talented
Youth summer residential program held on the campus
of Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York
has an immediate opening for a teacher of Fast-Paced
High School Chemistry. The position begins
immediately and ends July 16. This three-week course
is designed for academically talented students ages
12-16 who took the SAT as 7th or 8th graders and
scored at or above the mean for college bound high
school seniors. Algebra 1 is a pre-requisite. There
are 18 students in a class, and each instructor has
a full time teaching assistant, usually an
undergraduate chemistry major. There are daily labs,
with a lab budget of $65 per student. The salary
ranges from $1,900 to $2,800 per session depending
upon on education and teaching experience. Room and
board are provided on the Skidmore College campus.
Employees are responsible for travel costs. Desired
qualifications are a bachelor's degree and
experience teaching high school chemistry.
