Gateway, Easthampton, and Holyoke School Districts in partnership with
Westfield State are offering a series of seminars and workshops for
middle school science teachers.  The goal is to increase science
content knowledge and promote inquiry as a teaching method.  Science
content will be taught by scientists and pedagogical methods will be
taught by science education professors from Westfield State. Participants will receive a stipend and 68 PDPs. Three credits from Westfield State are possible. The first seminar is October 15 so teachers must register ASAP. For details and an application contact Kathy Wicks at:
