John Sheirer
Thursday, September 25, 6:30 to 9 p.m. at The Montague
Bookmill (440 Greenfield Rd)

This Event is Free and Open to the Public!
RSVP, appreciated but not required, by Friday, September 19,
to nwu@xxxxxxxxxxx or call 586-8844.

Food is available at the Lady Killigrew Cafe in the Bookmill
building.

Sheirer is the author of the new memoir "Loop Year: 365 Days
on the Trail," which was honored with a Connecticut Green Circle Award for
environmental activism.

In Loop Year, he chronicles his year-long, daily hikes on
the two-mile Blue Trail in Somers, Connecticut, with 365-word accounts.
Along the way, Sheirer discovered that an obsession with hiking and caring
for the same New England trail every day can be surprisingly adventurous.
Sheirer teaches at Asnuntuck Community College <http://www.acc.commnet.edu/>
in Enfield, Connecticut, where he has been honored multiple times by Who's
Who Among America's Teachers and recently received the Distinguished Service
and Educational Excellence Award. He lives in Northampton with his family
and Daisy the amazing hiking dog. http://www.johnsheirer.com/ has more info.
