The Advancing Science Technology Institute is scheduled for July 11-15,
2005 in Durham.  The Institute is open to all high school science
teachers interested in bringing modern scientific methods and tools to
their students.  The one week session provides science teachers with
training, access during the academic year for their students' use, and a
wonderful collegial support network.  For more information see our web

received.  This year we are expanding training to include:  gas and
liquid chromatography, IR spectroscopy (made simple by FT-IR and ATR),
and a special portable sensor for heavy metals in water systems. =20

A special 3-day workshop with computer or calculator-based probeware by
Vernier and possibly PASCO will occur on July 12-14.  Contact us for
