Hi Everyone,
Here is a great opportunity for a teacher in the Merrimack River
Watershed. I have known teachers who have gone on these Earthwatches. It is
a
terrific experience and great to help in your classroom lessons for your
students.
Give the offer consideration or pass it on to a colleague on Monday morning,
May 9. Must respond by early week of May 9:
I'm especially writing to all Tsongas Industrial History Center
Education
staff since you are (and can reach) educators who are eligible for
special
funding we've received from the Stevens Foundation. Earthwatch Institute
sends volunteers around the world to collect data with research
scientists
for 1-3 weeks. Educator fellowships cover all expedition costs &
reimburse
some travel expenses. We have funding specifically for educators in the
Merrimack River Valley Watershed - we need your help in getting this
information out ASAP. Applications need to be submitted ASAP (NEXT WEEK)
in
order for us to send winners into the field this summer. Please contact
me
immediately if you are interested &/OR know of others who may be
interested.
Thanks for your help - hope to hear from you all soon.
