Loving it, and Laughing about it.
Middle Level Education, Living it, Loving it,
and Laughing about it, is based on the
foundations of National Middle School
Association's This We Believe. Being able to
connect with young adolescents is critical to
the success of any educator or administrator.
Topics such as being committed to this age
group, the importance of being an adult
advocate and new methods of classroom
management will be discussed. Real stories
will be shared along with practical advice for
teachers and administrators. Humorous
experiences, classroom examples, and the
importance of teaching young adolescents are
the focus of this inspirational keynote that
make everyone realize how important being in a
middle school can be for teachers, principals,
and students.
Understanding Adolescents and Management Strategies That Work
Being able to figure out the inner workings of
adolescents is key to being a great middle
school teacher. Come discover helpful teacher
tips on how to relate to young adolescents.
Share and apply teaching ideas that meet the
needs of middle school students. This session
will also provide practical ideas to help with
classroom management and behavioral issues from
structuring your room to methods for getting a
class to simmer down. Connect with your

"Student Led Conferences - The Sure Bet"
This presentation is designed for those of you
that are interested in developing,
implementing, and/or sustaining student led
conferences. Practical tips on how to get
started will be shared. Handouts that contain
scripts for the students and ideas on how to
implement a student led conference will also be
shared. Attending this session will give you
an understanding of student led conferences and
all of the tools to make it effective.
