Subject: Prof. Bruce Foxman chemistry professor at Brandeis is opening up
his lab to high school students for an x-ray diffraction lab
Dear Colleagues,
Bruce Foxman, a chemistry professor at Brandeis University, is opening
his
lab up to high school students to conduct an experiment at his X-ray
Diffraction Lab. If you go to his web-site you can download a
powerpoint
tutorial and contact him about scheduling a one day field-trip to his
lab
(by phone or email). Before go on the field-trip your students grow
crystals in your classroom and bring them to Brandeis to determine the
crystal structure. The tutorial was written by high school teachers and
is specifically designed for high school students.
