[neact] Re: Chemistry Position, Lexington MA

HI Jerusha, et al.,
    Thank you for sharing!

I am thinking of giving NEACT list members a 7--10-day "head start" on
such postings, but then putting the info up on the website, in order to giv=
e
the employer the benefit of a much wider audience.

Jerusha: Does that seem OK to you and your school?
List members who wish to state an opinion on this: Does this seem fair
to both list members, NEACT members, and the school?
   =20
Jerusha: If this does go to the website, it would be good to have a
named addressee and proper mailing address to go with it [and perhaps a
proper telephone number, and/or web url?]. Should applications go to the
superintendent of schools? Human Resources office? Principal? Other?

All: As you know, once such a job posting goes to the website, it is
available to the world, so NEACTers would no longer have an "inside track."
The other side of the coin is of course that we would be helping people fil=
l
positions that they have open.

Happy end-of-academic-year to all!
