After Kieran's Post
Sam's watching the figures on his screen showing
their distance from the Vanguard steadily tick by,
under the console he was nervously drumming his
fingers on his leg. He with his other hand he was
scanning the vicinity for the nearest planet they
could take refuge on. Sam was concentrating so hard
that he didn't notice Qbed approach until she grabbed
his hand to stop his nervous drumming. He gave her a
grateful look then turned to Kieran. "There are two
planets within easy reach, but there's a downside. One
is completely covered with ocean and the other is
Centaurus IV, with a pre-warp culture of creatures
very much like the Centaurs of earth mythology,
anthropological report says they're in the equivalent
to the dark ages, highly warlike and hostile.
Centaurus IV is closer, and the report says ocean
world has a particularly viscious species of giant
shark, but there is the Prime Directive to think
of..."
Sam tailed off, "Any advice?"
