I remember Hugh saying Metaxaglaea violacea has a violet sheen and I don't see 
that on your moth.

I believe this is 9945.2.Holly Sallow Moth, 
Metaxaglaea  violacea, 25 Oct 2011 however I don't really know a good way 
of telling M. violacea from M. viatica, although I believe violacea is a later 
flier in the winter . Oct seems to be the overlap . Can anybody clearify this 
for me . Thanks , Paul
