I've been continuing to have some stability issues and recited I'd
remove a plugin one at a time until I found the offending one. Well, I
disabled all the plugins.
I even turned off Beryl and still had the issues. It seems that the
issue is with XGL itself.
I did some digging to see if I could just use AIGLX instead; however, it
appears as though there is an issue with AIGLX and ATI cards at the
moment.
I'll be researching AIGLX and XGL stabiltiy issues and report back.
