There you find what is needed for NAS2000.

For DUAL-NAS I think it will be similar, but the CPU is different and
therefore I think it will not work.
You could give it a try. If you could get a datasheet of the CPU I could
verify if there is a chance.

Do you have experience in hardware? I mean soldering, building some small
circuits, doing simple measurements...
