Hi Ron,
I'm new to nanomsg (just downloaded the software and joined the
mailing list today(, but I'm very interested to learn more. I was
wondering if there's anything I can look at to start with (aside from code).
Perhaps any concepts documentation then I can start looking at code?

Unfortunately, there are no introductory articles on nanomsg yet
(although I believe some are being worked on). You can start with ZeroMQ
introductory articles, like this one:

The ZeroMQ concepts match pretty much 1:1 with nanomsg concepts.
