As for #310, this is a rather big patch and I would rather merge it in
after the release.

#320 proabably won't be merged as it breaks the semantics of pub/sub
use case.

#285 is actually turn out to be a workaround for a bug. We should fix
the bug instead of augmenting the API by random cruft.

I would say just do the release now, if that's what you want to do.
Polishing a new transport will take some time anyway. No much point in
having the first raw version in the release.
