Well, I haven't tested this yet, but in theory,
all you'll need to do is start JACK, then
start jack.plumbing. 

If you specify a portslist as source for a Nama track, Nama
is supposed to automatically write ~/.jack.plumbing,
which the jack.plumbing daemon will automatically
re-read and connect the appropriate ports (provided
they are available).

Nama writes ~/.jack.plumbing according to the man page:
(connect "this port name" "ecasound port name")

I didn't know about it either till Julien asked on the 
Linux Audio Users mailing list.

We had a problem with the previous method (the jack_connect
utility) taking a long time when there was a big list
of ports to connect to.
