Thanks, that's an interesting suggestion! It would probably allow to
perform the snapshot even faster and with less interruption, if you
don't have to wait for the server to flush everything?
I added a note about creating a "--skip-flush-tables" option to the TODO
in SVN.
Also, I was wondering if it would make sense to provide an option to
fully shut down the server before taking the snapshot and restarting it
again afterwards, which would also provide a consistent backup. However,
this would probably be only useful on servers where some downtime is
acceptable, e.g. on a Replication Slave. What do you think, is this
useful to have?
