Hi Scott,
I really appreciate your help.
Here are the things I have tried. I'm running OS 10.4.11, PowerBook
G4, last rev.
- I can configure the modem in the Network preferences panel, and in
the Network Status pane it says it is configured.
- Going into Print & Fax:
- trying to add a printer - no Fax icon, and I can't add one from
the Customize Toolbar menu.
- I did find the stf FAX Print driver by browsing the "More
Printers..." in the Printer Browser, and added it to the Printer list.
- in the Faxing panel "Set up Fax Modem" results in an empty Fax List.
So the modem is there, and it is configured, but not "available" to
set up.
When I try to send a Fax (using the FAXstf printer driver), FAXstf
can't detect the modem ("Modem detection in progress" never changes.)
Weird.
Thanks again for your time.
Biti
