If your software and his software are compatible, then you will be
able to communicate. Rogers, Bell and any other high speed internet
provider will be enough.
What software do you plan on using? What software will he use?
PS I'm surprised that Rogers is cheaper than an ADSL line. Rogers
normally is >$45/mo for high speed ($30 for crippled... anyone using
Rogers' crippled high speed internet?).
