[muglo] Re: telephone recording equipment

Doug: Are you referring to the Nexxtech telephone recording control?
It sells for $19.99 US at the Source. There's also the deluxe
version of this for $39.95.

I'm glad you've raised this matter, as I have been using the
suction-mounted devices and have been having problems with the newer
regular-cassette tape recorders. The sound can be really faint in
terms of the incoming caller. I never thought this aspect might be
contributing to the problem, as they worked find with the older
recorders.

There is a product called PhoneValet, that works with 10.3.9 or
higher. It's got good reviews from MacWorld, etc., and sells for
$169 US. It's supposed to "record both sides of [phone] converations
to compressed audio file on hard disk." I'm still investigating
whether this is really going to fit the bill, but thought I'd mention
it.
