Even better than suction-mounted pickup devices, which in my
considerable experiences of the suckers never work well for any length
of time, are in-line pickups that plug right into your phone cord. You
leave 'em in place and turn 'em on and off with a simple switch. Radio
Shack -- or the Source, as i suppose I will some day get used to
calling it -- used to sell these as well as the suction-mounted ones,
and I always found them more dependable.
