Funny you should ask, as when I went to check my Skype I found out it  
had crashed!!!
I just downloaded the latest version a week or so ago. Downloaded it  
again & all my contacts
were still there, whew!!
Never did see the option to set as "Start Up" app, but first used it  
about 4-5 years ago.
