[muglo] Re: routers and home network

The airport doesn't discriminate against PCs for internet connection
and it should allow the PC to network with Macs as long as the Macs
have window sharing turned on. The amber light does not necessarily
mean that you don't have a network connection, it could be a number
of errors to find out which it is open the Airport utility and double
click on the amber light a window will open and tell you why you have
an amber light. You can then correct the problem or tell the airport
to ignore the problem, ie. if you have an unsecured network the light
will be amber but you can tell the airport to ignore it and the light
will change to green. I don't know about sharing the disks with PCs
but I think it should work. As far as your HP not seeing your
network I think you have to play with windows internet connect
settings till you connect.

I have the square one.
What about Windows Vista computers.
Do I have to do any complicated set up or any other things on them.
They both are connected via Cat5 and internet is working OK. But what
has to be done to network them with my Mac.
The light on AirPort is amber that means no network connections.
What to do to see other computers?

And one other thing. I can't get the laptop (HP) working wireless the
card is in it and it is OK.
I'm have the filling that I have to do some set up on HP but don't
want to mess up. Any suggestions.
