 Yes it works fine, I do it but it will not wake up the computer when you try 
to connect remotely so you have to either leave the computer on all the time or 
you could set up a time in the Energy Saver panel of System Preference that 
turns your computer on for a preset time period and then you can log in and 
check.  One thing I found is that I can see the computer from public hot spots 
but can't necessarily connect, I don't know if this has to do with the wireless 
routers that are used or limited bandwidth......
