[muglo] Re: quicken

I'm in over my head here as I've never had it happen. I would open  
'applications' in the finder, select icon view, and look for Quicken  
apps. If you find 2, highlight one and under 'File' menu, select 'get  
info'. This should tell you when it was created. If you do find the  
duplicate, drag it to the trash but don't empty it until all is  
working again.
If all else fails, you should be able to download your cheque register  
from your bank.
