I'd say OS X is even safer than OS 9 with regards to viruses. The OS itself
can no longer be touched (unless you *explicitly* give an application
permission to access the underlying OS) so a virus can only do limited
damage (other users are also protected under OS X because of OS X's user
security).

I swear by Norton & at the others. Tech Tools Pro pales in comparison & I've
*never* had Norton busticate a drive of mine (in ~8 years of using the
various versions). Who knows. Then again, I also find that M$ Explorer is
the best and most complete browser for Macintosh and that Netscrape
6.x/7.x/Mozilla/0.9/1.0 SUCK... perhaps I'm a Windoze user at heart.
