    Don't use Firewalls, but I know Terry has a few suggestions there &he 
doesn't have a lot of faith in many of them.

    Again, I have never needed it during my 25 years of Apples, but I do
know
that Norton Virus did a number on my HD, so I removed it &no mor= e
problems.
O/S X does put one at a much greater risk tho.

    "Tech Tools Pro" has a "X" savvy version,  as does "Disk Warrior", both 
much more Mac orientated than Norton IMHO &others. HTH.
