Not really. It just turns off the preview pane in the bottom half of the OE
window. If you don't mind double-clicking the message to open it in a new
window, and you're used to that way to read your messages, then it's
probably better. It's just personal preference I guess. The one nice thing
that I find with turning off the preview pane is, your message doesn't get
marked as "Read" just because you clicked on it (even if by accident).

Final thought: make sure you have the most recent version of OE. I think
it's at 5.0.6, but check Microsoft's web site to be sure
