Hi Jim.
What model is it? What specific problems are you having with it? Perhaps
there's an easy quick-fix.
If it needs to go in, and yes it's a big pain in the ass, but try HP repair
centre in Mississauga, which I believe is still located on Orbitor Drive
(Not the corp HQ on Spectrum Way).
It will be faster for you as most dealers in Canada will be sending it there
anyway.
On the other hand if the printer is out of warranty, try a local electronics
repair shop
