To make the response a bit more technical, your messages appear
(to use a spreadsheet analogy) in a sort of table with various
headers (columns) such as Subject, Sender Date, Priority Size
etc. and each message representing a row. In most e-mail programs
clicking on the titles or column header (or sometimes the little
traingles located in the header) allows you to sort your messages
(rows) from a-z or z-a (or numerically 0-9 or 9-0) based on the
header (column) contents. Subject which normally conatins text
would be sorted by alpha while Size would be sorted by number
Some e-mail programs also let you decide which headers (columns)
you want to display so that if you find you never use Size or
Priority you can remove them as display options.
Hope this helps
Martin
