yes, 8.6 is needed to run MSNmess.. although the newest one doesnt run in
8.6... i've looked around and cant find a useable link to an older
version of MSNmess... thanks to microsuck I guess all the old versions
get pulled.

(and this micro criticism coming from someone using a $29 PC atm. Had I
waited another week, it would have been a total freebee, as I found a PII
in the trash with a working cdrom in it, fairly new, this week. I am
always amazed at what some ppl throw out)

the MSNmess thing was the point of this computer change for the kid... I
thought no problem running it on 8.6.. they had 8.1.. and it didnt
work... now... I'm stumped.
maybe get a 32MB DIMM from somewhere, but I dont think they even want to
put $20 into the machine...
