Just acquired a used G3 iBook. I'm in love. Anyway. Having one small problem with getting an Internet connection using the internal 56k modem at either v 90 or v 34. With troubleshooting at my ISP's end, they have no record of the poor little things attempt to log in. Now everything is set up -as far as I can tell, esactly the same as my regular Beige tower G3 password wise, phone number wise, username... which can connect through a USB global village modem. It is beginning to look like the iBook's internal modem is overly susceptible to line noise (?) or there is something I just don't know about in OS X (10.3) which is entirely new to me too. TCP/IP is set up as per the tower, PPP is set up, networking is set up. The modem dials but doesn't connect. Any one with any good ideas? > <http://home.golden.net/~samu> < > There's a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in. < _________________________________________________ For information concerning the MUGLO List just click on http://muglo.on.ca/Pages/joinus.html Don't forget to periodically check our web site at: http://muglo.on.ca/
