She's running Windows Eric.
It would be nice to connect to the Rogers modem and I could likely do that
in London. Trouble is my other computer is out of town and rather than
paying Rogers exorbitant fees for the second computer I'm paying $16 for
unlimited access.
And it's actually the out of town computer I'd most like to see the
laptop connect since the computer there is old and therefore surfing is very
limited. I use it mostly for e-mail, but I thought since she has a new
laptop it might be nice if we could access the net there if need be.
As an aside, the dial-up ISP I've had for years didn't care how many
computers I had or where they were. I paid $16 total for two computers even
though one was miles away. Problem was one of the computers - a G4 - all at
once wouldn't sign on to the ISP. I finally had to give up and decided to
switch to high speed. Trouble was with Rogers wanted to charge me for each
computer connection which would amount to about five times what I had been
paying. It was cheaper to stay with the original ISP and use Rogers for the
G4. Jim
