Unless you have a particular need to use MP3s it is unwise to convert
AAC to MP3 via AIFF. By doing this this way your are losing audio
quality.

If you want to make MP3s for some reason or other you ought to buy
them from another source (legally) or buy the CDs -- converting the
copy-protected AAC to MP3 may make you feel like a rebel, defying the
big-bad recording industry but it is illegal and both a violation of
the spirit and the letter of the agreement you agreed to when you
downloaded the AAC. If you don't like it, don't buy it ;-)!
