[muglo] Re: [muglo]updates

I just downloaded Airport, iDVD, and iMovie updates, and I began to  
wonder what happens after the download is complete. I clicked 'Command  
- f' ,typed 'Update' and I got a list of 181 items. (I have two  
different operating system on my hard drive which certainly accounts  
for the bulk of the updates.
Is this dead weight? Is some of that stuff expendable, or must all of  
the stuff retained?
