Re: [muglo] welcome

A circuit somewhere is failing, Tom. As a first measure, you might just
pry off the key cover and using a can of compressed air to blow away
any dust and debris underneath. But I'd expect that any mess under
there that would affect the lower-case letter would almost certainly
affect the capital as well, since you press the C down in the same way
regardless of whether the shift key is on. My guess would be something
deeper in the keyboard, and buying a new one would probably cost not
much more than repairing the present one. Someone in MUGLO likely has a
spare they'd sell cheaply (I gave one away not long ago, just to get it
out of my closet). You'd want to try it out first, of course. But even
new ones are relatively cheap these days.

A propos of this, maybe all of us going to the February meeting might
look in our closets for any spare Mac gear we could bring along for a
sell-or-swap table. I'm thinking cables, keyboards, routers and such;
for anything too big to tote handily, a photo and description would do.

If you're just new to us, Tom, the meeting's free and it's at 7 p.m. on
Tuesday, Feb. 5, Tom, at the Westmount Public Library, 3200 Wonderland
Rd. S., in the plaza just south of Southdale Road. Hope you're up to coming.
