Not all mp3 players are Mac/iTunes compatible, so you may want to
check for that.

The mp3 player will, however, be recognized as an attached hard drive
by your Mac. It will show up on the desktop.
You can drag files from your iTunes library to the mp3 player, but not
using iTunes. You would open a Finder window, navigate to Music =>
iTunes => iTunes music.
The mp3 player might then recognize the files and play them. Some
players do not recognize AAC encoded music files, though.
Remember to eject the mp3 player, just like you would for a CD/DVD/
hard drive.
