XGA vs SVGA will not cause a problem. The signals for both go out over the
same pins. The VGA, SVGA, XGA, S-XGA series are typical of the Intel world
and a hold-over from the time computers were the realm of computer geeks --
confuse and confound. All they are are the resolutions the monitor supports.
VGA = 640*480, SVGA=800*600, XGA=1024*768, S-XGA=1280*1024

CompuSmart? Are these the rip-off a**holes that exist in the Masonville and
White Oaks malls? They are the _most expensive_ computer re-sellers I have
_ever_ encountered. Even the old late 80s/early 90s Mac stores in London
that were ultra-expensive couldn't have held a candle to these guys (since
they had the excuse there was no competition... now there's a lot of it).
What's inexcusable about their prices (often 50-100% over the market price)
is that their tech-support is extremely poor, their sales people are
generally aggressive A**HOLES (on occasion I've had to tell them where to
shove it... I'll speak to a salesman only when I'm good and ready to get
some info/ready to buy) and their product selection is not particularly
high-quality.

Many times I have prevented friends, family (and strangers) from making the
mistake of buying something from these guys. They simply don't deserve
people's business if they're willing to rip you off without bending over
backwards to cultivate your business or provide you with support! I still
remember one instance where I was pricing RAM for my brother's computer --
they wanted nearly DOUBLE what Mostly Mac on Wonderland wanted: $175 for 32
MB RAM vs $300 for 32 MB (consider how long ago that must've been ;) from
CompuRipoff.

Eric.
